The first time I saw Patrick, he was carrying a kitten like a dirty diaper through our college campus. I followed him and saved the kitty before they hurt each other any further. Over the next few semesters, our paths crossed over and over: in the biology lab where I worked, around campus, and anatomy class. After a while, we became friends. When we both got into nursing school, we became assessment partners and practiced our new found nursing skills on each other. One day while we practiced our assessments in class, he was the nurse and I the patient, it dawned on me that he was cute. Within a week we were dating. Our relationship grew quickly, and within a year he moved in with me for some quality nursing care after his knee surgery. Since then, we've been through a lot together, some good and some very, very bad. We have made many wonderful memories together, and hope to make many more. As our wedding comes closer, I feel so excited and blessed to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. |
We are planning to celebrate our wedding with friends and family at two separate events.
For friends and family in and around Augusta, we will be having a casual get-together at the home of Mary & Kirk Bowen on Saturday, May 19.
For friends closer to our home, we will be having a pool-side party on Saturday, June 2 at our neighborhood pool with games, food, and fun. |
